Bug Branch
CORDUSA went to Bug Branch, a small stream in Cedar Hills Park in Raleigh, where they cleaned up various trash items. They found interesting items such as a fake grass rug!
Helping out here and there – CORDUSA is everywhere!
Volunteers made cards for the men and women who serve our country. They also donated loads of winter clothes for those who do not have any!
Habitat for Humanity – Construction
To build homes for people who need them, CORDUSA volunteers partnered with Habitat for Humanity. The goal was to alleviate the growing problem of affordable housing.
Trivia Through the Ages (at Stoneridge)
CORDUSA volunteers went to Stoneridge Retirement Living for a trivia day! They had questions from the 1960s and even had song trivia! They had such a great time with these seniors, if this is something you would be interested in let us know!
Soccer Clinic
Our CORDUSA volunteers went to a soccer clinic, organized by ConnectingCommunity, a non-profit organization that helps bring people and communities together to tackle the issues they face.
Highway Cleanup
As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship, CORDUSA organizes a cleanup project along the Maynard – Cary Parkway Section. This initiative beautifies the area while encouraging community engagement and responsibility. Through this effort, we aim to foster a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone.
Triwild – Olive Plucking
CORDUSA youth participated in TriWild, Triangle Land Convservancy’s Rewilding Program. They helped The TLC staff in removing invasive holly plants which is essential in ensuring the growth of native flora. CORDUSA youth are taking action to protect our home, and are welcoming other youth to join out community and make a difference in our biosphere.
Inter Faith Council
CORDUSA is actively involved in organizing an Inter-Faith Council to create Birthday Bags for less fortunate children, as well as preparing Sandwich Bags for the Salvation Army. These initiatives not only bring joy to children in need but also foster a spirit of collaboration and compassion within our community. Through these efforts, we aim to make a meaningful impact and spread kindness to those who need it most.
Raleigh Food Bank Volunteering
CORDUSA is committed to making a difference by volunteering at the Raleigh Food Court, where we assist in serving meals to those in need. This initiative not only addresses food insecurity but also fosters a sense of community and compassion among volunteers and recipients alike. Through our efforts, we aim to create a positive impact and support those who are facing challenging times.
Trivia Through The Ages
The CMS4RDU team recently collaborated with Preston Pointe Retirement Center to provide entertainment for seniors, enriching their daily experiences with engaging activities and companionship. This initiative not only brightens the lives of the residents but also fosters meaningful connections between volunteers and seniors. Through our efforts, we aim to promote joy and community spirit within the retirement center.
